To pay your Property Taxes
The online bill pay MAY NOT reflect the current amount due immediately after the 10th of the month. Please call the office for the updated amount due.
Property Tax Bills are mailed out by November 1 of the current tax year.
The 1st Half is due and payable on November 10 and delinquent if postmarked after December 10.
If paying the full year, payment must also be paid by December 10.
The 2nd half is due and payable on April 10 and delinquent if post marked after May 10
A minimum penalty of $5.00 is applied to any outstanding balance after the delinquent due dates.
In addition, after the 10th of each month interest in the amount of 1% accrues on any unpaid balance.
IF YOUR ACCOUNT IS DELINQUENT BY THREE YEARS, PLEASE CONTACT THE TREASURERS OFFICE BEFORE
JUNE OF THE CURRENT TAX YEAR.
A delinquent property tax list is sent to the New Mexico Taxation and Revenue Department for collection and possible
property tax auction after that time. A Cost To State fee of $125.00 is added to the amount due.
